One of my favorite BBQ chicken recipes.

BBQ chicken legs

There are countless delicious ways to prepare BBQ chicken, but here is a simple and flavorful recipe that is sure to please:


  • 4-6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Brush the chicken generously with the sauce mixture on both sides.
  4. Place the chicken on the grill, skin-side down, and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Flip the chicken over and continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes, brushing with additional sauce every few minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serve with your favorite BBQ sides, such as corn on the cob, coleslaw, or baked beans. Enjoy your delicious BBQ chicken!
